NEVIS ATTRACTIONS & LOCAL AMENITIES
Botanical gardens – well worth a visit – great Thai restaurant (you don’t have to pay to get in if you’re just eating at the restaurant)
Hot spring – Nevis is blessed with an abundance of geothermal energy and for centuries visitors to the island have enjoyed the hot springs at Bath Village. You can still enjoy the therapeutic benefits of the springs today. Nearby is the site of Bath Hotel, the first luxury hotel in the West Indies built in 1778
Nevis museum – in town on the seafront
Heritage village – turn left at the end of Shaw’s Road. The village is about three miles on the left before Gingerland
Nevis Peak - be adventurous and climb Nevis Peak. Guides are available here
Lovers’ Beach (Beach Haven) – stunning beach which is usually deserted (2 miles to nearest access)
Nisbet Plantation Beach Club -the only plantation inn on the beach which offers a beautiful beach and fine dining, plus a barbeque night (2.5 miles away)
Herbert’s Beach – another deserted beach with good snorkelling (3 miles)
Golf course – Cat Ghaut 9-hole (less than a mile)
Mount Nevis Hotel and Restaurant – offering wonderful views across to St Kitts and dining (1 mile)
Nevis Airport (1 mile)
Bombay bites - fusion restaurant on the sea-front. Located just behind the airport (1.5 miles)
Fuel station - with basic groceries (2 miles)
Oualie Beach Hotel – lots of local character and a beautiful gently sloping beach idea for children. There is also a beach side restaurant
Oualie Beach is also home to many watersport activities including scuba diving, snorkelling and kayaking as well as the Bike Nevis cycle shop where you can rent bikes or join a bike tour (3.5 miles)
